Word Loop ("we", "our", or "us") is a vocabulary learning app developed by CodeWiz. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use Word Loop on iOS and macOS.
Account information
When you create an account, we collect authentication data through Firebase (email address, or information provided by Google or Apple Sign-In). We use this to identify your account and sync your vocabulary library.
Vocabulary and learning data
We store the words you add, AI-generated learning content, quiz results, review history, language preferences, and progress statistics on our servers so your library is available across your devices.
Device and notification data
On iOS, if you enable notifications, we store a push notification token to send review reminders according to your preferences.
We use the information we collect to provide and improve Word Loop, including generating learning content, scheduling spaced-repetition reviews, syncing your library, sending optional review reminders, and responding to support requests.
We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand app performance and fix crashes. These services collect technical diagnostic data such as device type, app version, and crash logs. We do not attach this analytics or crash data to your personal identity or account.
Your data is stored on secure servers and transmitted over encrypted connections. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Word Loop uses Firebase (authentication, analytics, crash reporting, and push notifications), Google Sign-In, and Apple Sign-In. These providers process data according to their own privacy policies. Our backend services process your vocabulary data to deliver app functionality.
When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and display name from Google. We use this information solely to create and identify your Word Loop account. We do not sell Google user data, share it with third parties for advertising, or use it for any purpose beyond providing the app. Our use of Google user data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can update your profile and notification preferences in the app. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at [email protected]. You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings.
Word Loop is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
